MEET J.REMY
I’m an author, educational consultant, SEL specialist, and inspirational speaker, committed to helping the next generation find their voice, recognize their worth, and step into their purpose. Inspired by my mother, a teacher of 30+ years who impacted countless students, I’ve dedicated my life to empowering youth. After earning a degree in Fashion Marketing from The Art Institute of Atlanta, I found my true calling during five years of volunteering as a high school youth leader, which ignited my passion for serving students. Since 2015, I’ve traveled the nation, advocating for mental health, self-love, and helping students discover their purpose.
WHY I SPEAK
My senior year of high school in 2007 was the most challenging time of my life. As well known athlete in my area I turned down basketball scholarships after playing since I was 5, and an EF4 tornado killed eight of my classmates. At home, my parents were going through a difficult season, leaving me to navigate an overwhelming combination of burnout, trauma, and an identity crisis. I lacked the emotional tools to cope, which is why Social Emotional Learning (SEL) means so much to me now. I speak to equip students with the tools I wish I had, to help them respond instead of react, and foster strong emotional well-being.
MY MISSION
I am committed to being the change I want to see in the world. My mission is to help students understand their worth, heal from trauma, and secure a strong sense of identity. A phrase I coined, “A SLIP-UP IS NOT A PERMISSION TO GIVE UP,” reminds students that making mistakes is part of the process, but it’s never a reason to quit. Life is full of peaks and valleys, and I’m dedicated to getting in the trenches with them at their lowest points. I’m not intimidated by their pain or their problems—because I know if I’m in it with them, they won’t have to face it alone.
As a speaker, I provide students with the emotional tools to overcome life’s challenges, helping them build resilience and emotional strength. I strive to be the voice and mentor I needed at their age, empowering them to rise above their struggles and step into the future with confidence, purpose, and unshakable self-worth. Together, we can transform lives, uplift communities, and create a generation ready to change the world.

KNOW YOUR WORTH CURRICULUM PROGRAM
The Know Your Worth Curriculum is designed as a solution to key challenges like emotional intelligence, bullying prevention, suicide awareness, and academic success. By teaching students to better understand and manage their emotions, the program fosters emotional intelligence, improving not only their ability to navigate complex feelings but also their interactions with teachers. This creates a more harmonious classroom environment where students and teachers are more aligned and understanding of one another, while also helping reduce peer conflicts and bullying among students.
With a focus on resilience and peer support, Know Your Worth also provides students with the tools to recognize and address mental health challenges, offering strategies for coping and seeking help, which plays a vital role in suicide prevention. As students gain confidence in themselves and their abilities, they are better equipped to handle academic pressures, resulting in improved performance and a more positive approach to their education.

Thank you 🙏 so much for giving that speech out it got to me because I’m used to get bullied in 3rd grade and I use to want to commit suicide because of the glasses I had... but thank you for giving the speech out ❤️ ❤️ #THE NEXTS MARTIN LUTHER KING
TESTIMONIALS FROM STUDENTS
Your speech inspired me to be more with god even though that is not what you said to do but I trashed some of the people I didn’t need and although it may be hard I will have a better outcome I used to want to end it all in 6th grade because I used to be bullied all the time for my size but you made me realize that no matter what I look like I matter and that I am important to someone I didn’t know who you were I first thought you were a rapper but you are so much more than that
TESTIMONIALS FROM STUDENTS
Hi! I was at buckhorn middle school today and I loved the assembly! One of my family members has had depression for quite some time and it’s been super bad lately.. your talk made me realize tht he just needs someone to talk to. He doesn’t have a lot of friends truly and so we are all he has. I think if he really had somebody to just talk it through with, he would be a bit better day by day. I texted him when I come home and it’s going great. Thank you so so much.
